Soft oatmeal and banana cookies for babies

Ingredients

  • 400g very ripe plantains (approx. 3 plantains)
  • 180g oat flakes

How to make oatmeal banana cookies

  1. Mash the bananas with a fork to get a smooth puree.
  2. If you want, add one or more optional ingredients to the banana puree: pureed sunflower seeds, pureed almonds or raisins.
  3. Add the oat flakes and mix well.
  4. On a baking tray covered with baking paper, spoon portions of the dough and flatten them a little to form a biscuit. The thinner they are, the crispier they will be. If you prefer them to be soft, make them thicker.
  5. Bake for about 15 minutes at 180 degrees.
  6. When the cookies are golden, take them out of the oven and wait until they have cooled down a bit before eating them.

Tricks and tips

  • They are so easy to make that older babies can help make them. 2-year-olds will really enjoy mixing the banana and oatmeal with their hands.
  • They can be stored for 1-2 days in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge. You can also freeze the dough before baking to make it another day.
  • You can replace the banana with 400 g of apple compote without added sugar.
