Time needed: 45 minutes.

– Almond and orange shingles are very easy to make if you follow these steps. And the result is a delicious dessert. Enjoy the recipe!

– First, we prepare the liquid ingredients and mix them in a bowl.
In a cup, we put the butter and heat it a little. When it is warm, we undo it with a spoon until it is as if it were an ointment. We put it in a bowl, and add the whites and egg yolks. We mix everything with some rods.

– Afterwards, we prepare and add the solid ingredients. We mix them until they are integrated.
Once this is done, we grind the almonds, without being completely undone. This will give them some bite and the tiles will be crisp. We grate the skin of the oranges, without reaching the white part, since it is bitter. Add both ingredients to the bowl, along with the sugar and cornstarch and stir well until all the ingredients are mixed.

– We let the mass of the almond and orange tiles settle, and we put a few tablespoons on a baking tray.
Once mixed, we let the dough settle for about 30 minutes. After this time, we line a baking tray with greaseproof paper. With a spoon, we spread a little of the dough on it at different points, giving the shape that you like the most. Allow space between them so they don’t stick together when they grow up.

– Finally, we put the almond and orange tiles in the oven in batches, until all the dough is used up.
Next, we introduce the tray in the central part of the oven, previously heated to 220ºC. After about 5 minutes, the tile will have browned on the sides. We remove the tray from the oven and reserve the tiles on a plate. Finally, we continue making batches until all the dough is used up. When the tiles have cooled down a bit, we serve. Take advantage!
