Oatmeal and banana pancakes

Ingredients

  • 170g rolled oats (2 cups)
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 egg
  • 1 glass of vegetable milk to taste (almond for example)
  • 1 teaspoon chemical yeast
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

How to make oatmeal banana pancakes for babies

  1. Grease a non-stick frying pan with a little olive oil and put it on the stove to preheat.
  2. Put the oats in the blender glass and crush the flakes until you get a coarse flour.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients (banana, egg, cinnamon, milk and yeast) and mix with the mixer for 1 minute until the dough is creamy and homogeneous.
  4. With the skillet over medium heat, add tablespoons of batter and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Let them cool on a plate and your baby can eat them. Yum!

Tricks and tips

  • If you do not have vegetable milk at home, you can replace it with yogurt, normal milk or breast milk.
  • Serve them with peanut butter for extra flavor and energy… but prepare a good bib because it is very sticky.
  • Once the pancakes are done you can cut them into fun shapes to make them more attractive. For example, try to make them eyes and a smiling mouth.
