Ingredients
– 1 sheet of puff pastry for baking
– 1 egg
– 1/2 glass of water
– 100g of sugar
– 4 tablespoons of honey
Lets go cook
Time needed: 30 minutes.
– We cut the puff pastry sheet into small squares
– On a flat surface, we put the puff pastry sheet. With a knife, we make cuts from top to bottom and then from left to right, about 2 fingers long and wide apart. At the end we will have a few small squares of puff pastry. Meanwhile, we prepare a syrup with honey and sugar
– In a casserole, put half a glass of water, the sugar and the honey. We heat it over medium heat and let everything cook for about 6 minutes, stirring from time to time. After this time, we remove it from the heat and let it cool. Then we paint them with egg and bake them
– Next, we place the puff pastry squares on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper, with a little separation between them. With a brush, we paint them with a little beaten egg, and put them in the oven, previously heated to 200ºC. We let them cook here for about 6-8 minutes, until they grow and brown a little. Then, we take them out of the oven and let them cool. We bathe the puff pastry bites in the syrup, drain them and serve them
– Finally, we put and bathe the snacks in the syrup. Do it in batches to make it easier. With a slotted spoon, we dip them in this syrup, being careful not to break them. After we drain them, we place them on a plate, or tray and ready to taste!
