Preheat the oven to 180º. Put the unpeeled bananas on a baking tray with parchment paper on the bottom and cover them with a sheet of parchment paper.
Bake for 30 minutes and when they are ready the skin will turn black. Take them out of the oven and remove all the pulp using a spoon.
Use a large spoon to scoop out the pulp and store it in a bowl.
While the plantains are baking, cook the brown rice. Put it in a saucepan with abundant water and boil it for 25 minutes.
When the rice is cooked, drain it and put it in the blender along with the cinnamon and the baked banana paste. Blend well and add the rice cooking water little by little until it reaches a smooth texture.
Serve it in a bowl and give it to your baby. It won’t leave a drop!
Tricks and tips
This porridge is kept in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Instead of water to soften the texture you can also use breast milk or formula.
Some babies are sensitive to cinnamon and get a diaper rash when they take it. If you detect that it does not suit you, simply do not put it in the recipe.
You can take the opportunity to bake more bananas, and then store the pulp in an airtight bag in the freezer. It can be added to any fruit porridge, yogurt, etc.
