Wash the beans and cut the ends. Steam or boil them with very little water, usually 15 minutes is enough for the thinnest varieties and 25 minutes for the thickest ones.
Wash the tomatoes well, remove the leaves and cut them into four pieces (with skin and all). Add them to the cook.
When the beans are tender, take them out together with the tomato and put it all in the blender glass. Blend very well, until there are no visible pieces of tomato skin. Add cooking water little by little if you see that it is very dense.
Put the purée on a plate, add a drizzle of virgin olive oil and stir well. When it is warm you can give it to your baby. Bon appetit!
Tricks and tips
Green beans or green beans are a rich source of fiber, they contribute to intestinal transit and reduce constipation in your baby.
Use a tomato that is flavorful and well ripe, or the puree will be very acidic. The sweetest varieties are the pear tomato and the pink barbastro.
If your baby does not like purees with a slightly rougher texture, you can peel the tomato so as not to crush the skin (but you will lose much of the fiber).
